Aviators At Work Redesigning Model Aviation

Written by Model Aviation staff. ModelAviation.com online exclusive feature.

Model Aviation will be debuting a new look in early 2012. Pictured are MA editor Jay Smith and assistant editor Jennifer Orebaugh. The entire Publications team have been aggressively working on a new look for the magazine. And while the magazine may have a different feel, Model Aviation will remain an information-providing leader in aeromodeling, reflecting the AMA's position as the world's largest model aviation organization. The publication will continue to offers in-depth coverage of all aspects of the hobby and sport including new products, aeromodeling events, and helpful how-to articles.

Any chance with the new remake there will be an option to get Model Aviation in some eformat like pdf, etc?

Hi Greg- 2012 will be a big year for the magazine. After the redesign debut, we will launch an app for mobile readers including the iPad! Plus we are retooling our online site so every issue since 1975 will be available to members.

That is great news about the iPad app! I'm old school and enjoy print mags....I may be biased too in that regard, but devices like the iPad have finally made reading magazines in some e-format enjoyable. The color and working links add to the experience. Now....let's get rid of the flash sections of the online website so iPads will play nicely there too :-) Keep up the great work you guys!
