Throughout the United States and Canada, Scale pilots competed to earn a spot to fly at 34th U.S. Scale Masters Championship. After countless hours of building and flying, pilots who earned the right to participate at the U.S. Scale Masters Championship descended upon Davis CA during October 10-13, 2013.
The 40-year-old Woodland-Davis Aeromodelers club proudly hosted the event on the club's new flying site: the Burgdorf-Henderson Field. The airfield is one of the newest sites on the West Coast with acres of unrestricted airspace and asphalt and grass runways.
2013 U.S. Scale Masters Champion
Congratulations to Tom Wolf who walked away with the title of 2013 U.S. Scale Masters Grand Champion with his D.H. Mosquito FB.VI. Tom joins the ranks of the top pilots of the past 34 years.

Wondeful photos! Makes me want to head home right now and hit the man cave for some building.
Question about list of previous winners?
My Father Earl Thompson Won the very first Masters Competition and I was surprised to see his name was not on the list. Can this please be looked into and possibly changed. He flew a Focke Wolf 44J placing First. He passed away this past summer and I (and my family) would love to see his name placed with all these "great" modelers/past Masters Winners! Thank You! Earl Thompson
Hi Marty-
Earl did win under the category of 1st Place Precision in 1980 - an amazing feat! While the list we featured only shows the "Grand Champions," we'll be happy to post and celebrate Earl's category as well which existed in 1980 and 1981.
Thanks!
Earl Thompson

On the home page of the USSMA there is a member feature page, if you would please do a write up of your dad, history, back ground. Send that to me, I will have it added to our site. We would be proud to have the bio on our web site.
