Triple Tree Aerodrome opens its beautiful facilities each year to a few large RC events such as Joe Nall and eWeek. Pilots who attend rave about the southern hospitality and good food that are hallmarks of Triple Tree.
In late September 2012, approximately three hundred pilots attended eWeek an event that caters to electric aircraft of all types and sizes. One of the many impressive models flown was the CARF Models Corsair owned and piloted by Dennis Shrewbury. The 110-inch wingspan Corsair is powered by 14S LiPo batteries that feed a Hacker A200 motor spinning a big 28x14 four blade propeller.
