After 14 years, Associate Vice President (AVP) Jerry Walters is stepping down from his AVP duties. He has been flying models for 45 years and is one of our longest-serving AVPs in District VIII. He will be missed! He has put many of our modelers in Model Aviation magazine. When you see him at the field, give him a big thank you for a job well done.

Stepping up in a big way: I am proud to announce Gordon Guillory as District VIII’s newest AVP. Many of you already know him well because of his attendance at events. Currently the president of the North Dallas RC Club, Gordon has been flying warbirds and sport, electric, gas, and EDF airplanes for 34 years. I first met him when he was president of the Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. organization’s local chapter. When you see him, he is easy to spot; he’s the tall guy with a big smile. Say hi!
