Welcome to the online edition of Model Aviation. ModelAviation.com's homepage welcomes visitors with bold new colors and a clean design anchored by strong images. Model Aviation’s in-house design team crafted a site that embodies the publication’s vision and continued commitment to the AMA and the hobby, sport, and educational pursuit of model aviation. Of course the print edition will remain the main centerpiece of Model Aviation. ModelAviation.com is a supplement to your print or tablet reading experience. The website will feature interactive elements and supplemental materials enhancing the current magazine. Integrated throughout the site are features allowing you to engage with other members, share your thoughts about a story, have a direct line of contact with the publications team, submit a story of your own, and offer your thoughts suggestions.

Just thought I would check and see what is in here. I am a new member and don't even have my RC airplane yet. Any suggestions?

Welcome to this fun and exciting hobby! We are glad to have you as an AMA member.
There are some great trainer aircraft available in the market including the Stratos http://www.modelaviation.com/toledo2012stratos. We always encourage new pilots to find a mentor or a club - they can best guide you toward a solid trainer for your area. You can start your search here at http://www.modelaircraft.org/clubsearch.aspx.
You may also want to consider learning how to fly on a simulator. We review three popular simulators here at http://www.modelaviation.com/simulator2013.
Finally, be sure to visit http://amaflightschool.org/. AMA Flight School answers many questions about model aviation.
Enjoy and welcome to the hobby!
