The Blue Max, held at Fantasy of Flight in Polk City, Florida, is the ideal setting for a flying event. Fantasy of Flight has an amazing collection of full-scale aircraft owned by Kermit Weeks and has hosted several RC gatherings in recent years. One of the aircraft entered in the competition was Scott Lee’s beautiful Balsa USA 1/3-scale Sopwith Pup, pictured making a field pass for the judged flight round on Saturday morning. Scott won the Iron Cross award for static score in the Balsa USA category, the Blue Max honor for his flight score, the Best Entente Powers aircraft award, and the Pilots’ Choice recognition.
