AMA Education Development Coordinator Gwen Mathis interviewed Julie Newman, author of Pull Don’t Push: Why STEM Messaging to Girls Isn’t Working and What to Do About It. Julie’s book, meant to be a tool for STEM educators, offers great insight into how strategies can be used to attract younger girls to the field of engineering.
