iOS6, Kindle, and Android Asus

January 30, 2013 New updates for iOS 6.1, Android, and Kindle
Tablet app development is a complicated game. We are working hard to stay on top of Apple's iOS updates. In addition we are trying to accommodate all the diverse Android tablets. In January alone six new Android devices were announced to be released which requires us to test and retool our app to ensure it is compatible. Plus we are eager to start building apps for other devices such as the Kindle, Nook, and Windows Surface. Here are our most recent updates.

iPad Updates

With the recent release of iOS 6.1, there may be some problems downloading your magazines to the app or newsstand. We have since made changes to the app to address this. Apple normally publishes updates within 7-10 days, so we anticipate the update will be live by the second week of February, just in time for the March issue to be released.. If you have not updated your iPad, you should have no problems accessing the individual issues. We appreciate your patience.

Android Updates

We understand some devices such as the ASUS are not able to download the app. We believe we have found the bug causing the problem. If you have had problems with the app, we encourage you to try the download again. You will need to visit Google Play and update the Model Aviation app before re downloading any issues.

Kindle App

The complications with Apples iOS 6.1 have caused a setback in our app development. We are still very hopeful to release a Kindle version of the app for the March issue.
