Building a 3D-printed airplane

Image

Written by Mike Deitchman A pilot builds an aircraft from 3D-printed parts I’ve recently decided to try building and flying a 3D printed plane and purchased the plans from 3D LabPrint for the 90mm F-86A. My friend Stephen Palmer did the printing. I assembled and flew the plane. The aircraft is powered by the same 6S power system found in the Freewing 90mm F-4 Phantom.

The maiden flight was on May 18, 2019, at our club airfield, DCRC, in Boyds, Maryland.
