I live in Rapid City, South Dakota, with my lovely wife, 6-year-old daughter, and 4-year-old son. During the day, I am Manager of Software Development for Northrop Grumman and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. My primary RC interest is Pylon Racing, but I have engaged in many areas of the hobby throughout the last 25 years. I have competed in Pattern and Combat. I have Slope Soared, flown gliders, electrics, 3-D, Scale warbirds, and anything else I could get my hands on. I grew up in Billings, Montana, and was taught to fly RC by my father, Earl Seaholm, at age 8. I have many wonderful memories from Pylon Racing as a kid in Montana. I am fortunate to be making new racing memories with my own family, in Montana and around the country. I spent 10 wonderful years in Kansas City involved with the Kansas City Radio Control organization. This is a dedicated and passionate group of modelers and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute spent with my KCRC family. I was vice president and president of KCRC in 2008 and 2009. A group of us helped rejuvenate Pylon in the region and I am happy to say it is still going strong. My competition accomplishments include the 2009 and 2010 Q-40 National Championship; 2009 Overall Pylon National Championship; 2009 Florida Gold Cup Championship; 2002 RC Combat National Championship, and 2003 RC Combat National Championship. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share my passion for RC every other month in Model Aviation.
